Dose-dependent cytotoxic effect of etoposide in solution and in NPs. Different concentrations of etoposide either as solution (black square) or encapsulated in nanoparticles (black circle) were added to the wells. The medium was changed on the second day and fourth day with no further additional dose of drug. The extent of growth inhibition was measured on the fifth day by the MTT assay. The nanoparticles (without drug) or medium acts as respective controls. The percentage of survival was determined by standardizing the absorbance of controls to 100%.
