Percentage change in DNA damage and distribution of damage foci per cells treated with 500 μg/ml of 1.9 nm gold nanoparticles (GNPs) 24 hours prior to irradiation with 225 kVp x-rays at a dose of 2 Gy. Cells were fixed, stained and foci scored at 1 hour and 24 hours post irradiation.
