Bindings of BiApt and free PD-1 or AS1411 aptamer to target or control cells. Nucleolin-positive CT26 cells (A), MDA-MB-231 cells (B), and nucleolin-negative CHO cells (C) were incubated with FAM-labeled free AS1411 aptamer (blue), BiApt (red), random DNA (pink), and PBS (black), respectively. PD-1-overexpressing activated PBMCs (D) and non-activated PBMCs (E) were incubated with FAM-labeled free PD-1 aptamer (green), BiApt (red), random DNA (pink), and PBS (black), respectively. FAM-labeled random DNA served as the control. All the cells were washed with PBS and analyzed by flow cytometry. All experiments were repeated at least three times
